http server using go with boot.dev

Ohhh, finally finished the HTTP Server course on Boot.dev.

it took a good amount of time, and I enjoyed it. it was a hard mission, but worth every second.

this course came after a lot of studying of separate things, from Go to SQL to HTTP clients, and finally all those puzzle pieces started coming together in the HTTP Server course with Go.

i want to start by talking about Go. it took me a long time to learn Go, and it took a little bit longer because i was used to the C family of languages. then Go comes in and introduces a different way of thinking about things, from goroutines and concurrency to arrays, structs, and the overall workflow of writing programs.

you may wonder as cs student doing some problem solving or studying the basics and taking input and getting output all this inside the terminal can i see what i am doing or when i am going to feel i am doing a real project or by Graphical interface project so, here comes raylib . raylib is a cross-platform open-source software development library. the library was made to create graphical applications and games.

Run-length encoding (RLE)

Run-length encoding (RLE) is a lossless data compression method that reduces the size of data by storing consecutive occurrences of the same value as a single value and a count.

for example: aaabcccc takes 8 bytes of memory, but if you compress it using RLE you get 3 pairs stored in binary: (a,3)(b,1)(c,4) and it will take 6 bytes. as you can see we count how many times a byte appears and store the byte followed by its count.

i don't like your webpage

hi, it’s my first time to share here so i don’t know what i should say and what i should not, but i see a lot of work here from many of you guys most of them is actually sharing their own portfolio and how they make it in on web page, but here it comes my point i think your web page sucks, don’t be offended but let me ask you some questions what is the purpose of the website? how should it perform ? What is the added value? let’s dive on those questions.

SQL

Chapter 1 — Database Basics

What is a Database?

A database is a structured system to store, manage, and retrieve data efficiently.

SQL (Relational Databases)

  • Data stored in tables (rows & columns)
  • Fixed schema
  • Uses SQL
  • Strong data integrity and relationships
  • Best for structured data

Examples:

  • PostgreSQL
  • MySQL
  • SQLite

NoSQL (Non-Relational Databases)

  • Flexible data formats (JSON, key-value, graph)
  • No fixed schema
  • Designed for scalability and speed
  • Can cause data duplication

Examples:
